Very few people are born natural media performers – most of us need some help.
Whether participants have interview experience or are new to the media, our training will equip them with the skills, techniques and confidence to deal with interviews proficiently.
They’ll become better media talent by learning:
- what sparks journalists’ interest
- how to approach every interview strategically
- techniques for packaging messages in a pithy, succinct way
- the power of compelling, visual language and tangible examples
- ways to translate complex subject matter
- the perils of negative language
- how to handle difficult or left-field questions with integrity and grace
- the different techniques needed for different media
- dos and don’ts when dealing with journalists
Each participant will then take that knowledge and put it into practice in filmed interview role plays designed specifically to mirror real life and build their confidence and skillset.
Candid, constructive feedback will be provided by both the trainer and the journalist conducting the interviews.
They’ll walk away with a copy of their interviews and a comprehensive workbook to guide them through all future media interactions.
